How safe is it to eat striped bass from the Hudson River?
How commonplace is it for an angler to keep their fish to eat?
there are health advisories on 130 waters in NY. the lower hudson river and bay is included in these with recommendations of eating not more than 1/2 pound a week.

l would think, with stripers being anadromous and migratory, they would pass through unclean areas rather quickly and reach their spawning areas in cleaner water.
but, l don’t live in NY so l am not a local expert on this. perhaps, none of the river is clean.
