Is it possible to actually PROVE someone has multiple accounts to point-game?
Not just assume, but prove that a user has multiple accounts, and uses those accounts to point-game. Is that possible to actually prove that without just assuming? I ask this because I have been accused by many users that I have been point-gaming because I get eight votes for my answers when questions go into voting, and I have been reported to Yahoo! apparently because some people assume I’m point-gaming and trolling and using multiple accounts to give myself points on my main account — which is all untrue. Is it really possible to prove that someone is point-gaming and using multiple accounts to give their main account points?
By voting — no, it is not possible for US, the users. But if a LOT of answers each get ONLY 8 votes, that is suspect, unfortunately. If the number tends to vary, then there should be no suspicion. But the YA staff can track the IP addresses to verify the situation, although multiple family members using one computer can make it LOOK like pointgaming even if it is not really.
The only time it is really totally obvious about multiple account pointgaming is when a person uses one account to ask with, another to answer, and then grants themselves Best Answer consistently. Those are SO obvious, they usually are easily spotted — and suspended.
